Ciara Is Expecting a Fifth Child After the Cinco Bet
Ciara is pregnant with her fifth child, the Cinco Russell Wilson has asked for since Amora’s birth, announced Sunday with a blank onesie.
Ciara posted a fifth-child announcement on Sunday, Sept. 6, from a sunlit backyard clothesline that ended on a blank onesie. The singer, 40, held up five fingers beside four named shirts. Retired quarterback Russell Wilson, 37, answered the same evening with the nickname he has used for this baby since 2023.
The joint caption was seven words: “One more person to Love.” Wilson quoted the post with two more. “Baby Cinco!” he wrote, closing a public ask that began in a delivery room and spilled onto red carpets, fan fests, and interviews for almost three years.
A Clothesline and a Blank Onesie
The clip starts on laundry. Four white shirts hang in the sun, each printed with a child’s name: Future, Sienna, Win, Amora. Ciara walks the line in a white tank top and low-waisted jeans, hair still in rollers, and pins a tiny onesie at the end. The onesie is blank. She turns, smiles, and holds up five fingers.
Wilson then walks the same line toward her. They fold together for a selfie video, both flashing five. Other stills show her standing in the yard with both hands on her stomach. No studio backdrop. No styling team in the frame. The whole tell is a piece of baby clothing with no name on it yet.
She put the same carousel on Instagram and on X. The X version is the one that traveled fastest into quote posts Sunday night.

The post reads as a family inventory, not a maternity campaign. Four lives already on the line, one more peg waiting. People who had watched Wilson talk for two years did not need a press release to decode five fingers. They had been given the nickname in advance.
He Started Asking in the Delivery Room
Amora Princess Wilson arrived on Dec. 11, 2023. Ciara has said her husband did not wait long. Shortly after that birth, their fourth child and third together, he floated the Spanish word for five.
When I was giving birth to Amora, that was our fourth baby, he was like shortly after, ‘So, cinco?’ and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute now, like slow it down, sir. We just had a baby here. Let’s be in this moment here, sir.’
Ciara, July 10, 2026 interview
She called the timing disrespectful, then added that she said it while laughing. She also declined to shut the door. Motherhood, she said, is her favorite job, and she could see cinco happening “because why not, right?”
Wilson took the same pitch public on July 17, 2026, at Fanatics Fest in New York, 51 days before the clothesline post. “We have four amazing kids and I’m trying to convince Ciara to have a fifth,” he said. “Cinco, you got to be on the way soon.” He added that he wanted five, that she did too, and that he hoped he could convince her.
The July comments were not a sudden change of heart. They were the campaign moving from the hospital to a microphone. By the time she posted on Sept. 6, the surprise was gone. What remained was the visual: a fifth garment, still unnamed.
THE CINCO ASK
- December 11, 2023: Amora is born, and Wilson asks for cinco shortly after delivery.
- July 6, 2026: The couple marks 10 years of marriage, after a July 6, 2016 wedding at Peckforton Castle in England.
- July 10, 2026: Ciara retells the delivery-room ask and leaves the door open.
- July 17, 2026: Wilson repeats the pitch at Fanatics Fest and says cinco has to be on the way soon.
- September 6, 2026: Ciara posts the onesie. Wilson replies, “Baby Cinco!”
A fifth pregnancy at 40 will squeeze the calendar she spent 2025 rebuilding around new music. She posted it anyway, in rollers, on a Sunday that looked like a weekday in her own yard. The ask was never hidden. The answer just took a blank onesie to make official.
After 14 Seasons, Sundays Belong to CBS
The other clock in this story stopped on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Wilson posted a thank-you video to football that ran 3 minutes 16 seconds. He did not use the word retirement in the tape. The league, his old clubs, and the broadcast job that followed treated it as the end of a 14-season run.
In the video he thanked the sport for discipline and faith, then named the thing he said it gave him last. “You’ve also given me the greatest gift of all: family.” He is moving to CBS Sports and The NFL Today, a booth job that keeps him around the game without owning every Sunday in pads. Ciara answered on the post: “The best in the world! There’s only one, 3!” She called him her greatest inspiration and said it was a blessing to go on the journey with him.
WILSON’S 14 NFL SEASONS
- The counting stats: 46,966 passing yards, 353 touchdowns, 114 interceptions, 10 Pro Bowls.
- The peak: Super Bowl XLVIII with Seattle, plus the 2020 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award.
- The stops: 10 seasons with the Seahawks, then Denver in 2022 and 2023, Pittsburgh in 2024, and the Giants in 2025.
- The ironman note: 149 consecutive starts to open the career, after a third-round selection in 2012.
Ninety-five days separate that video from the onesie. Football had been the thing that structured their weeks since they met in 2015. The Cinco pitch in July landed in the first offseason that was not an offseason at all. Sundays now belong to a studio. The backyard, on Sept. 6, belonged to laundry and a fifth child.
Four Names Already Hang on the Line
The shirts are the family, written out. Future Zahir Wilburn is Ciara’s eldest, born May 19, 2014, with rapper Future. Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess are the three she has with Wilson. The new baby will be her fifth child and her fourth with him. Wilson has been Future’s stepfather since the couple married, and Future’s name sat on the line with the others, not off to the side.
THE FOUR SHIRTS ON THE LINE
| Child | Born | Age on Sept. 6 | Parents |
|---|---|---|---|
| Future Zahir Wilburn | May 19, 2014 | 12 | Ciara and Future |
| Sienna Princess Wilson | April 28, 2017 | 9 | Ciara and Russell Wilson |
| Win Harrison Wilson | July 23, 2020 | 6 | Ciara and Russell Wilson |
| Amora Princess Wilson | Dec. 11, 2023 | 2 | Ciara and Russell Wilson |
The Seahawks’ own newsroom welcomed Win Harrison in 2020 at 8 lbs 1 oz. Harrison is the name Wilson’s father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and older brother share. Win’s first name was the quarterback’s joke that stuck. Sienna and Amora both carry Princess, Ciara’s own middle name, as theirs.
Wilson has talked about stepfatherhood in plain terms. In a 2021 interview he said it was a blessing to try to be there for Future every day, the way his own father had been there for him. The clothesline made that stance visible without a speech. Four names. One blank onesie. The blended household is the household.
What the Announcement Leaves Unsaid
The post gives the count and hides the rest. No due date. No sex. No name on the fifth garment, on purpose. One commenter, singer Major Girl, guessed a boy. That is still a guess.
WHAT WE KNOW
- The count: This is Ciara’s fifth child and her fourth with Wilson.
- The date: They posted the news on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026.
- The nickname: Wilson has called the baby Cinco since Amora’s birth, and he used it again on the announcement.
- The ages: Ciara is 40 and Wilson is 37; the four children are 12, 9, 6, and 2.
WHAT IS UNCONFIRMED
- Due date: Neither parent has given a month or trimester.
- Sex of the baby: The onesie is blank and no medical detail has been shared.
- A legal name: The fifth shirt is waiting for one.
The blank onesie is doing two jobs at once. It announces a person who does not yet have a public name, and it keeps the last reveal inside the house. For a couple that has documented births, tours, and game days in real time, that is the rare piece they declined to fill in.
The Job She Still Calls Her Favorite
Ciara has described raising this many children as organized chaos. She has said she believes in schedules, especially sleep schedules, because kids function better when they know what is coming. She has also said there is no perfect way to do it, and that she and Wilson tag-team how to make the world better for their kids.
The Recording Academy lists one Grammy and five nominations on her artist page. In 2025 she put out CiCi, her eighth studio album and her first full-length since Beauty Marks in 2019. Last fall, turning 40, she talked about wanting more shows, more music, and more zeros, and called the decade ahead her best era yet. A fifth pregnancy sits on top of that plan, not instead of it.
She has taken children on the road before. After Amora’s birth she went back on tour and said the kids traveled with her, hanging around Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes on dates that doubled as family trips. The Sept. 6 video does not pause that version of her. It just adds a fifth backpack to it.
I love being a mom. It’s my favorite job of all. And I couldn’t stand here and tell you, like, that I don’t see that happening one day in our lives to have cinco because why not, right?
Ciara, July 10, 2026 interview
Kehlani, commenting on the post, put the campaign in one line: “he was never playing a single game w u.” Wilson had been on the record. Ciara had been on the record too, just with a slower tempo. Sunday was the tempo change.
Friends Answered With the Same Nickname
The comments did not invent a new joke. They used his. La La Anthony wrote that she was making space at Auntie La’s house and closed on “CINCO!!!” Comedian Jessie Woo told them that when God said to be fruitful and multiply, they took it personally. Latto wrote “Congrats Ci.” Nicole Scherzinger sent congratulations in all caps energy. The thread under Ciara’s own post filled with the same two words Wilson had been workshopping since 2023.
THE FIRST WAVE OF NOTES
- La La Anthony: Called it another beautiful blessing and said she was “cheesing so hard,” then wrote CINCO.
- Jessie Woo: Framed the pregnancy as a very literal reading of being fruitful and multiply.
- Kehlani: Said Wilson was never playing a single game with Ciara.
- Latto and Nicole Scherzinger: Short congratulations, the kind that pile up when a post is still warm.
Under eight minutes after Ciara’s X post, Wilson quoted it.

— Russell Wilson (@DangeRussWilson) September 6, 2026
He did not add a paragraph. He did not recap the Fanatics Fest tape. He sent the nickname back, as if the argument were over and the roster spot were filled. The onesie is still blank. The name Cinco, for now, is the one that stuck.
