WhatsApp Desktop App Released: Facebook-owned Online messaging app, WhatsApp has officially launched their WhatsApp Desktop App support for Windows and MAC (OS X) users. WhatsApp users now will have a better way to be in touch with others from their Desktop/Laptop, as WhatsApp has launched a new desktop app for Windows and Mac OS X users.
WhatsApp Desktop App Launched for Windows and MAC
According to a company’s blog, the desktop App is almost similar to WhatsApp Web. It is an extension of your phone, with conversations and messages sync. WhatsApp has avoided publishing their App of App stores on iStore or Windows Store and allowing users to download directly from their websites, as long as you are running Windows 8 (or newer) or OS X 10.9 (or newer) version. Because the app runs on your desktop, we will have support for desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and other facilities.
About 1.2 Years after making its online messaging service available on the web, Facebook-owned WhatsApp has come to the desktop. This release is in addition to the existing apps for Android, Blackberry, iOS, and Windows Phone. “Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device,” the company said.
